Installation meeting on Friday 9th February 2024 at the Masonic Hall, Adelaide Street, Blackpool.

42 Brethren were present including the following Masters in Office: WBro. Paul Smedley (Cleveleys 1176), WBro. Mike Cook (Prince Setanta 1446 installed the day before!), WBro. Andrew Stansfield (Imperial 1276), WBro. Mark Brown (Semper Fidelis 880 & Fylde 296) & WBro. Philip Kavanagh (Preston 143).
The WM, WBro. Alan Barnes opened the Lodge and thanked all the officers for their help throughout his year in office. He worked through the agenda with a joint ballot being held for a joining member; Bro. Ian Northwood and an honary member; RWBro. Keith Alan Beardmore. The ballot proved unsurprisingly successful!
Bro. Northwood was welcomed into the Lodge.
The Grand Officers and WBro. Wiltshire made a grand entrance and were welcomed by the WM!
WBro. James Rashid ProvAGDC conducted salutations.
The next business was the installation of Bro. Gordon Ivett (a Lodge member for twenty or so years!)
WBro. Paul Smedley acted as SW, WBro. Mike Cook acted as JW and WBro. Andrew Stansfield acted as Inner Guard during the ceremony.
The Master elect was presented and subsequently installed in a fine and exemplary manner by WBro. Barnes.

The WM proceeded with the remaining business on the summons and closed the Lodge.
The Brethren assembled in the bar for refreshments, aperitifs and onto the festive board.
Sparkling wit (mostly!), lively conversation and a great atmosphere accompanied the meal.
WBro. Wiltshire responded to the toast to his health and included a number of witty observations and jokes, which were all well received with a mixture of groans and laughter!

A raffle organized by WBro. Steve Smith PProvGSnrStwd raised £230!
An excellent night (one to remember) was had by all!
